There are quite a few things on Rainbow Six Vegas 2 that are new. One, your environment is more durable to gunfire. For example, if you take cover behind a desk or something, don't expect to use the same spot for cover forever. The enemies gunfire will destroy your cover bit by bit.

High caliber rounds will penetrate wood and plastic.You can now shoot through doors. Sprinting will be in the game. Hold down the left bumper to sprint. There is a new multiplayer mode called Total Conquest where you are supposed to hold three satellite dishes for 30 seconds to capture them.

Enemies are smarter than ever before. They will use tactics just like you do. They are also sometimes equipped with ballistic shields. You can also order your teammates to toss grenades at enemies.

There is a new techniuqe called Leap Frog. If you are moving to another postition, your teammates will cover you with gunfire while you move. You can return the favor once you reach your position.

There are 11 new guns in Rainbow Six Vegas 2. 50 in all. Here is the list of weapons which will be available in the game:

I could be wrong but I think some types of ammo could prove to be more powerful than others. Now, before I get started, I want you to know I am not a gun expert at all. I am looking at a chart of different kind of bullets that will be used in the game. Here are the following bullets and what they are used for:

5.56mm NATO= For Rifles and some SMG
7.62mm NATO= For Assault Rifles and Snipers
357 Magnum= Probably the best ammunition for handguns. The Desert Eagle in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will contain these bullets.
9mm Parabellum= For semi-automatic pistols and sub machine guns
50 BMG= Ideal choice for high-powered Sniper Rifles and Heavy Machine Guns

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. All platform versions will be released on the same date. If you are new to the world of Vegas, you might want to check out Vegas 2 cause this game is going to be big.
