Grand Theft Auto IV                                                                                                March 1, 2008

GTA IVThere are quite a few new things on GTA IV. There is a new covering system that you can now use. You can also blind-fire now for the first time in a GTA game. You can now blindly toss grenades while behind cover.

You no longer need to diet or exercise in GTA IV. These features are now gone. Now you don't have to worry about visiting the gym or worry about eating to avoid fatigue.

If you walk into a building before you put your gun away, everyone will put their hands in the air, thinking you're going to rob them.

The targeting system is controlled by pressing the left trigger. You will automatically aim at the enemy's body plus you will also aim at the enemy closest to you. If you click the right thumbsitck up once while you are automatically aiming at the enemy, you will aim for the head.

You can hold “A” to run between cover. Drive-by shootings are different now. Before, you could only shoot left or right. Now, you can hold down the left bumper and move the right analog stick in any direction. Just aim and fire.

GTA IV is powered by the RAGE engine that was also used to run Rockstar’s Table Tennis.

The mini-map will be located in the corner of the screen. Expensive cars will offer GPS systems. If you drive a Mercedes, the female voice in the car will tell you which direction to turn to reach your target. It won’t tell you all the shortcuts but will lead you down one way streets.

Toll booths have been added to the game. If you speed past them, expect the cops on your ass ASAP. If you slow down and pay, you should be fine.

You can get Achievement points for performing stunt jumps. There are over 20 stunt jumps in GTA IV.

Thanks for reading. I hope you are hyped for GTA IV just as much as I am.
