Satan's Little Gamer - November 13, 2008

Eidos is going to shut down the servers for the game 25 to Life on the PS2 version and the PC version. The 25toLife site doesn't say anything about the Original Xbox version. I really think they should shut down the Xbox servers as well. God, I really miss this game. This was the shit back then before Saints Row came out. I mean, how often do you get to play as a cop and shoot at gang members or play as a gang member and shoot at cops online? Never! This was the only game that would ever allow that. The next big game that I have high hopes for is APB. I hope that will blow 25 to Life out of the water when it is released. I remember when I heard about the LAPD Memorial Foundation or whatever it was called was trying to boycott this game. Hillary Clinton was also involved in trying to boycott this game. What did I do when I heard about this? I got a Blockbuster GamePass, went to Blockbuster, rented the game, and kept the game for about five or six months till the whole thing blew over. When I took it back, I was expecting a huge fine cause I had a hard time keeping $20 my credit card to keep the GamePass going. Guess what? I never had to pay a fucking penny for anything! My GamePass never expired. I will never forget the day I first played this online. Man, I was blown away at how fun it was. This game will always be a classic to me. The single player sucked so bad. You could blow through the whole story in a couple of hours. If you didn't have Xbox LIVE, this game was certainly not worth getting. Those of us who did have it, it was probably the best purchase we ever made in 2006.
