Satan's Little Gamer - December 10, 2008

Youtube There are big problems going on down at Youtube. People have been complaining about Youtube's new policies. You can read about these policies here. Just scroll down to December 2. Basically what's happening is, they are censoring you and I. They don't want you and I to become popular on Youtube. They want to use Youtube for corporate advertising. Whenever I click on videos that have views in the tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands, I get a little corporate advertisement underneath the video. I just recently watched a video today that had over 361 thousand views and a corporate ad popped up for Degree deodorant. This just makes me sick to my stomach that the corporations are taking control of what you and I have used to express ourselves. I have deleted my other account which I created yesterday. I think my SatansLittleGamer account will be the next one to be deleted. For now, I am keeping it up to see what happens after the Youtube/Google Blackout. Basically, during this blackout, I am not ever going to use Google or Youtube for anything on December 19 to however long it takes for Google to comply with our wishes. It works like this: Google makes money on the number of videos you upload, the amount of clicks you get on your videos, the amount of ratings you get, the amount of views, etc. If we don't use Youtube on December 19, they won't make a fucking penny! Sure, there will be people using Google and Youtube but the majority of us who like to express ourselves in a free environment are not going to just accept this crap! I will still keep my site up. Don't you worry about that. It is my Youtube account that will be deleted if Google doesn't shape up. There is also a video here that you can watch that will reveal what Youtube's new policies are for and what they plan to do. This video is about seven or eight minutes long but it is worth watching. Trust me.
