Quantum of Solace Review January 26, 2009
When I first saw the video footage and screen shots of QoS, I thought it would be an excellent game. It was ok. It was not bad. The story was very short and easy to get through. The hardest difficulty which was 007 was a joke. I beat that mode in two days. I started the mode around 12PM and finished around 6PM the next day I believe. The online is fun on some modes. I have played Territory Control which is where you need to claim as much terrirtory before the other team does. You get around 5 points every five seconds you are stationed at a territory. After a certian amount of time, the territory location changes. I also played Golden Gun mode which was a disaster since the mode was full of campers. They sit in corners and fire the golden gun, which has explosive rounds by the way, at walls or at your feet and it kills you instantly. The story is too short and was too easy too beat. The online is a blast for some game modes. It's just a matter of avoiding the modes where everyone camps and takes advantage of the mode.
I give QoS 3 stars out of five. One star off for the short and easy story. One star off for adding multiplayer modes that offer teenagers to take advantage of the maps and the game modes.
