The Simpson's Game Review February 16, 2009
The Simpson's Game is one of the worst games ever. The hilarious one liners couldn't keep me happy in this game. This game is nothing but puzzle after puzzle after puzzle. While you are trying to complete these puzzles, you have an infinite amount of enemies coming to kill you. Whenever you kill a few, a few more replace them, making the puzzle difficult to complete.
The game in my opinion, started to lose the fun factor when Bart finds out he is in a video game. This was towards the middle of the game. I was furious with the story already when Bart found out he was in the game. Then the Simpson's were about to be destroyed and they have to find the "creator". That "creator" happened to be Matt Groening.
After Matt Groening kills off the Simpson's, you go to Heaven where you must complete Dance Dance Revolution with God. I beat all three parts in three tries. Some people have complained said that it is impossible for them to pass this. I have never played Dance Dance Revolution in my life and I got lucky I could even beat the game past that part. After I beat the whole story, I could revisit every episode and get the collectibles or do the time trials.
Well, I decided not to. I was furious enough as it is. The controls in this game are ok. They are not bad. The biggest problem I have is the camera angles. When I look up at something, I have to stare at my character's fat ass instead of the sky. Took me about a half an hour or more to complete every level because I spent five minutes trying to figure out how to complete ONE FUCKING PUZZLE! The voice acting is great. The humor will hopefully keep you going. I didn't really pay attention to the humor anymore as I got more and more furious with the game.
The animation scenes look great in some parts. In other parts, the animation looks horrible. The way they drew the Simpson's in some parts showed that EA was either lazy or they spent too much of their money hiring the whole cast to do the voices so they decided to do a sloppy job with the rest of the scenes. The characters in some parts looked really ugly.
Overall, this game is garbage! I would recommend downloading an SNES emulator and the The Simpson's: Bart's Nightmare or The Simpson's Virtual Bart. Those games are a hell of a lot better than this piece of shit.
I give this game 0 stars out of 5. This is the worst rating I can give for a video game. This game deserves just that!
