Ghostbusters: The Video Game Review (Xbox 360 Only) June 23, 2009
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is one of the best games I've ever played in my life. I have been waiting 20 years for this and when I started playing, I was blown away. The graphics are amazing, the boss fights are intense, the music from the movies is in it. The game plays great! If you have seen Ghostbusters 1 and 2 and loved them as a kid, you will love this game. The best part of it all is the multiplayer.
You can choose which 4 Ghostbusters you want to be or you can just be the rookie. In single player, you play as the rookie and your character has no lines. Why? They wanted you to feel like YOU the gamer is the 5th Ghostbuster. There are 4 types of proton guns. Each gun has a specific job.
When you scan ghosts with your PKE meter, you can find out that some ghosts get are immune to some weapons and can get hurt by others. I have scanned every ghost in the game and unlocked an Achievement for it. Also, the Achievement names are derived of famous quotes from the movie. Believe it or not, the Achievement for scanning all ghosts is "Back Off Man, I'm A Scientist". The Achievements are very easy to get so you should have no trouble at all.
I have almost 40 of them from a period of two days of playing. I have been playing online constantly. It is such a blast. I have embedded one of the videos I've uploaded to Youtube. I give Ghostbusters: The Video Game 10 stars out of 10. This IS, one of the best games I've ever played in my life.
